The Best Rival Crock Pots
By thooghun
Rival boasts one of the best product lines when it comes to crock pots and slow cookers. The reason I chose to focus only on this product-line (I am in no way affiliated with Rival) is because of how functional, durable and cheap their products really are.
I have provided a short review of my three favorite cheap slow cookers for your perusal. All of which cost just around, or slightly less than $20.
And now, because nobody likes a long speech, I bring you my favorite rival crock pots selection!
Rival Double Dipper Crock Pot
My first entry was chosen because of its unparalleled value for money. Sitting high on a pure Amazon 5 star customer rating, it embodies the perfect choice for the casual cooker.
The main feature of this double dipper is its ability to hold two separate dips (16 oz. per side) at perfect serving temperature. The stoneware itself inserts decorative styling in order to make the dishes aesthetically pleasing as well as fresh.
Functionally, I feel compelled to point out that while it may be advertised as compact, which is the polite way of saying that it is small, it may be too minute or limited for some. Despite this, the maximum dip size of 32. oz is not all that bad, and may be perfect for those who are looking for a quick party piece rather than a kitchen staple (given also the fact that at under $20, it is a relatively safe bet regardless).
More good news is that the stoneware and lids are dishwasher compatible, and that the entire construction is 100% assembly free. Making this product a fast, solid and cheap addition to your kitchen.
Rival 5025WG 2-1/2-Quart Crockpot
This particular bestselling rival crock pot is another relatively compact product for small families (ideally two people) who are in need of a slow cooker that will not overcook the contents, as is so often the case.
The 5025WG conveniently offers a glass lid and an aesthetically pleasing minimalistic design (the black bordered lid can be found in alternative colors).
As you've no doubt guessed, the pot can has a two and a half quart capacity, which is perfect for two people. The cooker has two separate easily changeable heating settings (as evidenced in the picture).
Cleaning and maintenance is made easy thanks to the removable stoneware and stick-resistant coating. On-the-fly cooks will find little to shout at with this amicable cooker when it comes to rinsing.
Consumer feedback is overwhelmingly optimistic, and word of mouth and excellent value for money have allowed the 5025WG to become a longtime Amazon bestseller.
Getting in the mood :)
Rival 6-Quart Round Slow Cooker
This model combines elements from my other reviews and blends them all together (including the price!), and tops it all off with a copious 6 quart capacity.
Sitting proudly at the center of the kitchen with its 10 inches high by 12 inches diameter, the "3060-w" is worthy of respect. Similar to the 5025G, maintenance is easy and painless thanks to the stick-resistant coating. Similarly, the stoneware innards can be swiftly removed for rinsing or maintenance. All of which which will meet your dishwasher's approval.
The addition of an ulterior heat setting, pushing the bar from 2 settings in the previous model, to 3. High cooking, low cooking and warm (to keep the contents in a ready-to-serve state).
I recommend this variant for larger families who are in need of larger pot that can house their roasts without batting an eyelid. In all honesty, no, it doesn't have the fluff of expensive models, but it gets the job done -- and does it well.

I have one..the older version..
It is a great gadget for busy moms :-)
I have an older Rival crock pot. I wouldn't trade it for anything. It is reliable and cooks the most delicious meals. I couldn't do without it. Great write up.
I have one of the oval ones, it's pretty big, but I cook just about everything in it. It is great for us working gals.
I put the ingredients in the "removable" pot the night before and set it in the refrigerator. Next morning I set it in the cooker, plug it in & head to work. When I get home, dinner is ready!
Now I’m looking for one for my daughter who is on her own. Good Christmas gift idea.
Happy to see a hub in favor of slow cocking! These days, most of us is going in the opposite direction and try to cook as fast as we can. Useful!
I have a Rival crock pot and it makes the best Italian beef, bbq pork and spicy meatballs. Couldn't cope without it.
I love making a mushroom and beef stew in my crock pot. My dad used to make the best stew with this wonderful tasting gravy with mushrooms. We would then pour it over a bed of rice. It was delicious!
I'm about to get heavy into crock pot cooking and this is some useful info. Thanks!

I was introduced to crock pot cooking a couple of years ago. I love it! It's such a great way to make delicious meals by piling on the ingredients, then forgetting about it for hours. As for container size, I'd say when in doubt, go for the larger pot.
